Chaired by Professor Anna Mavrogianni (UCL), the third London Working Group meeting took place on 15 October 2026, bringing together 22 participants from the HEARTH team and key stakeholder organisations. These included industry representatives (AtkinsRéalis and Levitt Bernstein), NHS and healthcare organisations (Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and other regional NHS trusts), the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Westminster City Council.

The meeting focused on urban heat resilience and indoor overheating in London homes, with discussions drawing on emerging research into heat exposure in social housing, the importance of localised temperature data in identifying areas and populations most vulnerable to extreme heat, and the policy recommendations of the London Assembly's Hot Property report.

Participants also revisited five priorities identified at the previous meeting in July: improving localised temperature data, securing funding for heat adaptation, strengthening heat-health action planning, enhancing heat-health warning systems, and improving cross-sector collaboration. Discussions explored how these priorities could inform coordinated action to reduce overheating risks, protect vulnerable residents and strengthen London's resilience to extreme heat.
